PLA, South Korea's largest convenience store chain, has completely replaced PP lunch boxes
BGF of South Korea announced that its convenience store brand CU will replace all its food containers made of PP material with environmentally friendly and biodegradable PLA material to strengthen ESG management.
PLA is a bioplastic made from plant-based materials such as corn and sugarcane. BGF states that if the company uses approximately 1,000 tons of PLA annually, it will be able to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 770 tons.
